So a friend from work called me today to tell me she had found the scarf I made for her last Christmas in her son’s backpack yesterday.
The bright fluffy-girly-beyond-belief-PINK scarf. It was a five yarn (I believe) knit stitch scarf, absolutely beautiful (in my humble opinion) and one of my favorites.
Needless to say, she was a bit shocked and asked him why he had her scarf. He said simply that he liked it. “But it’s pink”, she said – to which he replied, “Who’s cares? It’s soft and really warm! I like it!”
All I can say is – Bless that practical young man! And of course he has such good taste!
I’m going to make him his own Blue & Red one for this holiday season – his mother tells me they’re his favorite colors.
Found a butt load of these acrylic macrame hoops at the Salvation Army – so many colors and different sizes. There were a few more beads but I didn’t care for them – the ones I got tho’ are totally cool. Spent $8 which was a little steep in my opinion but the lady running the register looked to be a bit irritated… maybe I snitched her find? Either way, take a look! I’ve considered doing a bit of macrame, I’ve got some patterns, but these would also make great purse handles!
The Mushroom Bead and the Big Green Butterfly Bead are marked Duncan’s Ceramic Products.

Happy Halloween!
As you can see – Cat was totally impressed with my mad pun’kin carving skillz.

Night Shot!
